The AE Cares Campaign is for Everybody

On a mission to positively influence the wellbeing of others, Wendy Yates and the AE team has started their own non-profit 501c3, the AE Cares Foundation. AE Cares is partnered with three incredible non-profits Aerial Global Community 109 World, and Project Soar in their efforts to be of service to the world. Through education, donations, community projects and environmental initiatives we are creating positive impact that lasts. Inspired and motivated, we encourage everyone we know to be part of the solution in making our world a better place and to do so by choosing a meaningful life.

Together we are community creators, builders and innovators that connect varying industries for the purpose of support. We see design as the creative platform to help and to heal, and we see you as our valuable friends in making change possible.

A special THANK YOU to Soda | Lime for providing all of the incredible cinematography and photographs featured on this page.

A Personal Story that Tells it All…

All Things Matter, Big or Small

Nestled along the southeast corner of Playa Viva near the Juluchuca community is a group of very special people in a very special place doing a very special thing, saving turtles. The Turtle Sanctuary, aka La Tortuga Viva, protects Olive Ridley (Golfina), endangered Green (Negra) and Leatherback (Laud) turtles as they come to the shores to lay their eggs. Within the past 50 years six of the seven marine turtle species have been placed on the endangered species list and La Tortuga Viva is working hard to prevent extinction.

Last December Wendy Yates and her family joined 109 World to volunteer at The Turtle Sanctuary in Mexico. With purpose and passion they learned about the months prior when volunteers patrolled the beaches looking for signs of tracks which could possibly lead them to buried nests. After the eggs were located they were transferred to a protected area for incubation. Roughly 45 days later hundreds of hatched turtles were released back to Playa Viva whereby they made their journey to the ocean. This was the part Wendy was able to help with and the experience was beyond beautiful.

“Releasing so many of these tiny creatures and watching them fearlessly make their way into a huge body of water takes your breath away. Witnessing the care, the protection and the mindfulness of every act taken prior to this day restores a sense of hope in an individual. It’s almost as if I came to the sanctuary to free baby turtles but I left feeling free myself. There’s an ocean of possibilities out there and just as fearlessly as these guys I’m ready to take it all on.”
