MARVELOUS | MODERN

It is marvelous working with clients that know exactly what they like and do not like. This Texas couple had an affinity for pink tulips, cows and the color blue. They didn’t want to accessorize much, but then again why would they need to with wall to wall windows of spectacular mountain views.

We choose to take a minimalistic approach and accentuate the clean architectural lines in the great room with curvy, more modern furniture such as the blue grey leather sectional and knitted poufs. When presented with a gap of drywall between the fireplace and the window we customized a wall mounted shelving system out of reclaimed wood and rope that looks like it is hanging. Then used colored decor and accent pillows to tie it all together.

A lot of thoughtful details came together in the powder room. The metallic cork wall covering gave the small space heavy texture, while the crystal ball chandelier and scale of the orchid made it feel light. By adding a black and white cow painted on barn wood you get the feel of yin and yang to round out the design.

We mindfully designed each room to represent the client’s marvelous “likes” and loved the final outcome of our modern approach.
